Princeton University undergraduate students in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Civil Engineering have been working with FoNNaP and local community members over the past week. They will present their research findings in three 20 minute presentations in 3 areas of concern:
- Human wildlife conflict – development vs parks,
- Pastoralism and human wildlife conflict, and
- Land degradation – role of alternative energy in restoration
From 11.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.
The meeting will also take one hour to discuss the role of FoNNaP in stopping the Kenya Urban Roads Authority from routing the Southern Bypass into the Nairobi National Park. Members will be asked to vote to endorse FoNNaP plans.
Be sure to attend and invite your friend(s) to attend this meeting that is set to bring into perspective the conservation challenges arising from the various developments around NNP especially the Southern By-Pass. Your thoughts and contributions will be of great value.
We look forward to having you with us at the meeting.
