Amazing April in Nairobi Park

Dear Friends, we thank all of those who sent us photos of wildlife in the park this April. Here’s a compilation.

How many animals can you identify? Send your list – the first person to name all of the animals correctly wins a super surprise!

Thank you Ali Tanvir for lion attack sequence, and soundjay.com for the use of this jungle music

  1. Wow, it could’ve been a “which one of these isn’t like the other” contest. So, why are lions attacking cubs? I wasn’t aware they did that. Don’t they know they’re endangered? 🙂

    • There are many lions trying to take over the prides. When this happens the new male kills all the cubs 😦 This is why hunting in Botswana is killing all the lions – hunters take the pride lion. A solitary male takes over and kills all the cubs to speed up the cycling of the females so that he can sire the next set of cubs. This pair of males didn’t succeed but they will keep trying.
