Lions and rhinos rule in Nairobi Park Game April count

We didn’t expect that much wildlife to be spotted in the Nairobi Park April game count as it is at the start of the rainy season when all the animals have started to migrate.

It rained all night the day before and it put of some potential counters, but many members of FoNNaP showed up at the crack of dawn, including Brookhouse school!

Before I get to the results, feast your eyes on our very first sighting. Enjoy

What a delightful way to start the count

"Look son, those are humans in that can"

Members were very surprised to see a striped hyena in the count and wonder if it was an aardwolf which has been seen before. We will try to get you a photo to verify the identity of this rare animal.

On behalf of FoNNaP we thank you all for participating in this count and hope you will sign up  for the next one in June!
