  1. Hello Saralito,

I really enjoy getting the FoNNaP newsletters. What an incredible evolution Internet communication and publishing has gone through over the past 20 years. When I was out there and helped David Western and the warden of NNP set up the Friends, we didn’t even have an email, let alone a website. And now look at the huge wealth of articles and photos. One can get a tremendous amount of information about critical wildlife and development issues from your site. FoNNaP has become a very polished and professional organization.

I just had one question. I don’t see a link to the actual May newsletter. On your May newsletter page, when I looked way over to the right under a heading Twitter Updates, there was a link to the April 2014 newsletter. When I clicked on that, I got a FoNNaP Kenya Twitter page with a link to the April newsletter (wp.me/p1FH5-ub). When I clicked on that, it opened the FoNNaP newsletter website for April. There, in small blue capital letters just above some kind of video ad that seems to occupy the center of all your newsletter pages I saw the link FONNAP NEWSLETTER APRIL 2014. When I clicked on that, it took me to this very extensive WordPress PDF page with all of the April newsletter content, starting with the Chairpersons Note (http://fonnap.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/fonnap-newsletter-april-2014.pdf).

In contrast, on the May 2014 newsletter page, above that video ad, there is no link, just a note that says “We are happy to post our May newsletter and hope you will enjoy reading it! We welcome your feedback, suggestions, opinions and articles as well as photographs! FoNNaP.” There is nothing that takes you to the same kind of PDF page that exists for April. Is this an error, or is it because WordPress does not yet have the PDF version up and running? It is after all just May 26.

One suggestion. If the link to the actual PDF newsletter is just that small blue line in caps located above the video ad, maybe you could make it as larger font and in bold so that it would be easier to see.

Anyway, best of luck with all your efforts over there. Wish I could come back some day. I did spend a total of 10 years there (1971-73 and 1989-96) and one of my sons was born at Nairobi Hospital.

    Best regards,

    Kris
